Sineng Electric Powers a 100MW/200MWh Energy Storage Project in China

Yantai, China, June 1, 2024 -- Sineng Electric is pleased to announce the successful commissioning of a 100MW/200MWh energy storage project in Shandong, China. It represents a significant advancement in the integration of renewable energy into the grid, delivering substantial economic, environmental, and social benefits to the region.

Shandong, a province abundant in solar and wind resources, is leading the way in renewable energy development. The increased reliance on renewables necessitates the deployment of battery energy storage systems (BESS) to ensure a stable power supply.

In partnership with BYD, Sineng Electric has supplied the top-notch 4MW and 3.45MW central PCS MV turnkey stations for this project. The PCS units feature IP65 and C5 anti-corrosion protection rating, guaranteeing exceptional durability against humidity and salt spray - ideal for such a coastal area. The products are compatible with high-capacity batteries and can achieve the maximum efficiency of up to 99%. Moreover, their modular design enhances system availability, while the higher power density and smaller footprint help lower the initial investments in energy storage infrastructure.

Now in commercial operation, this power station is set to address the growing demand for electricity in the region, manage volatility in supply and pricing, and contribute to a greener future.
